Clean up any spilled oil and pour the used oil in a container to drop off at your local recycling
center. Technical specifications for motor oils can generally be found on the
particular brand's website, although sometimes it may be necessary to contact
the company to ask that they provide them. The Environmental Protection Agency spends millions
of dollars each year dealing with oil spills, if contaminated soil was not removed,
it can pose a real hazard for generations.
